MAC Art Camp is a fully supervised half day camp in the art studio that nurtures creativity, community, and an appreciation for the creative process. Each camp will be limited to 14 students. This half day program runs Monday – Friday and concludes with an art show on Friday at noon for morning camps or 4pm for afternoon camps. Participants are asked to bring a snack. No experience or expertise is necessary, just enthusiasm for the process of making art and a willingness to experiment with new ways of expressing creativity.

Class Description:
Students will explore a variety of printmaking techniques including monoprint, relief, and intaglio. They will learn to use tools and techniques that will allow them to create multiple images while exploring various inks, papers and altering methods.

Class Description:
In this camp, students will combine collage, bookmaking, and basic storytelling for a week of creative making. Campers will print, paint and, collage paper using a variety of techniques to create drawings and textured papers that will be used as the pages and covers for handmade book forms.

Class Description:
Escape to the ocean in the workshop. Campers will design artwork inspired by the sea. Artists will create chalk drawings, watercolor paintings, relief prints, and recycled sculptures while learning about great artworks themed around the seven seas.

Students will learn about the collage process by collecting, arranging, and attaching various images, patterns, and textures into interesting combinations and compositions. We will use magazines, paint, and ink to make fun visual images. Bring magazines to share and help your thoughts and ideas come to life.

Campers will use their imaginations to create creatures and cryptids. Through drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture they will bring their imaginations to life in two and three dimensions.
