Our Galleries

The MAC is home to two galleries - the Benedum Gallery on our first level and the Davis Gallery on our upper level. We host monthly exhibits of both solo artists' works and multi-artist shows.  


Our Benedum Gallery is accessible to friends with mobility issues via the ramp to our side door. If you would feel more comfortable scheduling your visit, please contact us via phone or email. 


Our Davis Gallery is on our second floor - currently accessible by stairs. We will be installing an elevator in the coming years, but our historic building currently presents some accessibility challenges. We apologize, and are working to rectify the situation!

Calls for Entries

We are seeking applications for "EXTRA-ORDINARY", a curated pop art exhibition in August,. Find the prospectus here, and application here. 


We are currently accepting applications for solo and group exhibits in 2027. We are currently only scheduling the first few months of the year, but will consider applications for additional months soon. To apply for an exhibit, please fill out this form. 


We are also seeking entries for our annual Bare Form exhibit in November.

Watercolors and Ceramics by 

Georgia Tambasis

This exhibition features the whimsical work of clay vessels and watercolor paintings of local artist, Georgia Tambasis. Tambasis's work explores the space between function and imagination. Her clay vessels function as both vases for flowers and as stand-alone sculptural forms, while her watercolor paintings echo the same sense of spontaneity, movement, and playful exploration.

Working intuitively, Tambasis allows the material itself to guide the process, resulting in pieces that feel lively, organic and personal. She says, "When I work, I allow my hands to freely move with the material available and I create a space in my head that is free of fear and judgement. The joy of discovery and creativity in the material is my inspiration."

Elsewhere brings together the last several years of photographs made in North Carolina, Nolan's home of twenty years prior to moving to Morgantown. It includes long-term work documenting the office parks of Research Triangle Park, and other spaces throughout the state.

The Way She Moves

From March 15 through March 29th, WVU Senior, Katie Gruendler, will be  showing her BFA thesis exhibition at the MAC. 

From 5pm-8pm on March 29th  there will be a closing reception, all are welcome to attend. A  statement from Katie about her work: 

 “In my ceramic art, I delve into the intricate relationship between  femininity and nature through personal narratives and universal themes.  Each piece is a reflection of my own experiences navigating the  complexities of womanhood through my interactions with the natural  world.

Energy Equation

An exhibition of oil paintings and mixed media on wooden panels by Betsy Jaeger of Morgantown

The work uses my home and the land around it as a metaphor for what is  happening to the world at large. Images of chairs, windows and  electrical outlets are contrasted with images of birds and wildlife and  the price they pay for our comforts.
