Monongalia Arts Center

Marketing and Community Outreach Intern


Overview:

The Monongalia Arts Center (MAC) is looking for a creative and motivated individual to assist with social media, marketing, and community outreach. A passion for the arts is a plus, as we want help communicating our mission and programming to the community. 



Job Responsibilities:


  • Assist with social media planning
  • Creating visual and text content for social media 
  • Photograph classes, events and create stock images for the MAC
  • Write press releases
  • Post events to community calendars and other community outlets
  • Foster relationship between the MAC and local schools
  • Represent the MAC at community events
  • Assist with outreach programming
  • Other duties as assigned 



Knowledge and Skills:


  • Knowledge of and experience working with social media
  • Knowledge of Canva a plus
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Self-motivation and the ability to be an adaptable member of a team in a dynamic environment
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Photography experience a plus


Schedule:


This internship is for up to 10 hours per week. It is a hybrid position, requiring mostly in person time with some flexible remote work.
